Tutoring Tracker

Terms of Use

Last updated: 21 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Mohamad Hassan Fadi Hijab ("we", "us"), the developer of Tutoring Tracker ("the app"). By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.

The short version. The app is a record-keeping tool for private tutors. Your records belong to you and you can export or delete them at any time. The core of the app is free; some features need a paid plan. We do our best to keep the app working and your data safe, but it is a tool, not an accountant or a lawyer — the numbers it shows are only as good as what you put in, and you remain responsible for your own tax and business obligations.

1. Who may use the app

You must be at least 18 years old, or old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, and you must be able to use the app lawfully in your country. The app is intended for tutors and other individuals keeping records of their own teaching. It is not directed to children.

2. Your account

3. Your records, and the people in them

Everything you enter — students, lessons, hours, prices, payments, homework and grades — is your content. We do not claim ownership of it and we do not sell it. We store and process it so the app can show it back to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

This part matters. When you record details about the people you teach, you are the one deciding what to record and why. You are responsible for having a proper basis to hold that information under the privacy and data-protection laws that apply to you, for keeping it accurate, and for responding if one of your students asks what you hold about them. We provide the tools — export and permanent deletion — but the obligations are yours, not ours.

You can export everything to an Excel file at any time from Settings, and you can permanently delete your account and every record on it from inside the app.

4. What you may not do

5. Free and paid plans

The app has a free tier and a paid tier called Tutoring Tracker Pro.

The free tier includes unlimited students, unlimited lesson logging, payment tracking, the dashboard, analysis by year and month, and Excel export. It is not a time-limited trial, and we have no plan to put those features behind payment.

Pro adds the scheduling module, PDF invoices, reports and schedule exports, deeper analysis, homework and grades, and Excel import. The exact contents of each tier are shown in the app and may change as the app develops; if we ever move an existing free feature into Pro we will say so in the release notes.

If you already had an account before Pro launched, your existing schedule remains readable to you, and editing it requires Pro. Nothing you had created is deleted because of a plan change.

6. Payment, renewal and cancellation

Pro is sold as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-off lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in your local currency in the app before you buy, and may differ between countries and over time.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the app available and working, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The app depends on services we do not control, including Google Firebase, Apple and Google, and your own internet connection. We may add, change or remove features, and we may suspend the service for maintenance.

If we ever discontinue the app, we will give reasonable notice through the app or by email so that you can export your records first.

8. Ending the agreement

You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account from inside it. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or where we are required to do so by law — and where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your data first.

9. No professional advice

The app records and totals figures you enter. It does not give accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and its totals are not a substitute for proper bookkeeping. You are responsible for your own invoices, tax returns and business records, and for checking that what the app shows is correct.

10. Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind so far as the law allows. We do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements or that it will be free from faults.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or lost business, or for loss of data where you have not kept your own export. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by the law of your country.

11. Keep your own copy

Your records are stored with a reputable cloud provider and we take care with them, but no online service is immune to failure. Use Download All Data in Settings from time to time and keep the file somewhere of your own. It is the simplest protection you have, and it costs you a few seconds.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is material we will make it visible in the app or by email. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, and the courts of Qatar have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
